Qualifications and Experience

I am a qualified British video journalist ( PGDip Broadcast Journalism 2000 ) video producer, camerawoman and editor.

I have also studied documentary direction at the NTFS.


I film using a Sony HVR Z7P and edit with Final cut Pro using my own equipment.

I have 13 years of television and radio experience.

Since moving to East Africa in 2005, I have worked for Reuters,the Associated Press Television News Agency (APTN), BBC, CBS, Voice of America and the United Nations.

Before moving to Africa, I worked for the BBC and CNN in the UK and Euronews in France.

I also produce PR videos for UN agencies and international NGO's and have filmed and edited for the UNIDO, UNMEE, Oxfam America,
International Federation of the Red Cross, Farm Africa, Women for Women and ACDI/VOCA.

I am based in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa and have gained extensive local knowledge and a basic understanding of the main language Amharic.
I also speak French.

As a camerawoman, editor or producer, I can be hired on a daily basis and have facilities to FTP video footage.

I have provided narration and voice-overs for both my own productions and commercial products.

I am a member of the UK National Union of Journalists http://www.nuj.org.uk/ and secretary of Ethiopia's Foreign Correspondent's Association.
